  • Develop and execute recruiting and sourcing strategies for specialized, in-demand, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates through creativity: advanced Boolean searches, professional and social networks, user groups, referrals, talent communities, market mapping, and the applicant tracking system.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines aligned with anticipated business and workforce needs.
  • Provide hiring leaders with market intelligence, talent availability insights, sourcing recommendations, and data-informed time-to-fill expectations via weekly status calls.
  • Conduct candidate screens to assess job-related experience, capabilities, motivations, and alignment with position requirements.
  • Partner with hiring teams to establish structured, competency-based interview and assessment processes.
  • Deliver a consistent, inclusive, and engaging candidate experience from initial contact through offer and disposition.
  • Collaborate with Talent and Culture Business Partners, HRIS, Compensation, and other stakeholders to support effective and timely hiring decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, tools, workflows, and stakeholder experiences when appropriate.
  • Support employer branding and talent engagement initiatives that strengthen Calix's position in the talent marketplace.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including experience supporting Products/Engineering, General and Administrative, Sales, and/or other commercial functions.
  • Recent experience recruiting technical or engineering positions, such as software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, AI/ML, data science, and hardware/test.
  • 3+ years' experience using Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Demonstrated success filling up to Director-level positions through strategic and professional recruiting practices.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring niche, specialized, and hard-to-fill talent in competitive markets including curiosity to research facets of roles.
  • Ability to use AI tools/agents to streamline daily work and improve efficiency.
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence hiring leaders on recruiting strategy, talent availability, market conditions, and hiring expectations.
  • Experience managing multiple/high-volume requisitions, stakeholder groups, and priorities in a complex environment.
  • Ability to interpret recruiting metrics and market data to establish appropriate recruiting strategies and expectations.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to attend occasional in-person meetings and travel less than 5%.
