Position Summary: We are seeking a strong Full Stack Developer to serve in an
AI-first, agile product team supporting Global Development Operations (GDO). This role is responsible for developing and operating AI-native products where large language models, agentic workflows, and data-driven intelligence are the default approach to solving business problems-not an add-on.
The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on programming experience delivering
Generative and Agentic AI solutions in a regulated environment.
Specific Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain LLM-native and agentic applications as long-lived products, incorporating human in the loop patterns, continuous learning, monitoring, and governance as part of the standard operating model. Frameworks include OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and LangChain.
- Develop and maintain scalable, stable, reliable, and secure applications using Python/Java and modern frontend frameworks like React JS. Leverage vibe coding best practices to build production-grade applications and prototypes faster.
- Implement microservices-based solutions on AWS cloud platform.
- Incorporate microservices, APIs, MCPs and event-driven processes.
- Implement CI/CD practices for software applications.
- Monitor model performance in production and manage model drift, retraining, and rollback strategies.
- Use critical thinking to investigate issues with systems and data, and identify solutions for short-term remediation and long-term strategy.
Requirements:- Must have a minimum of 2 years of related work experience in software development; Pharma/Life Sciences experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java, and a UI framework, preferably React JS
- Solid understanding of AI concepts and familiarity in developing AI applications.
- Practical experience building Generative AI and Agentic AI applications using tools like LangChain is a plus.
- Experience with AWS Cloud services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Bedrock, SageMaker, is a plus.
- Good data analytics skills - SQL/NoSQL databases, able to write efficient queries.
- Strong technical expertise combined with a demonstrated commitment and passion for continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Must be a relationship builder and capable of working effectively in a highly matrix organization with strong communication, planning, and collaboration skills.

Compensation Overview:Princeton - NJ - US: $78,200 - $94,760
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
On-site ProtocolBMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
