Position Description:

Location: Toronto, onsite 4 days a week

As a Senior Software Engineering specialist, you will play a crucial role in building our "High Value Payments" systems. You will be responsible for creating scalable, high-performance infrastructure and providing essential technical guidance to our Product Teams (Pods). This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical direction of large-scale initiatives and deliver impactful solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Develop highly complex custom software components and applications.
- Provide technical coordination and leadership for large, cross-team projects.
- Define and implement comprehensive unit and integration test frameworks.
- Contribute actively to project management activities, including scope assessment, T-shirt sizing, and story mapping.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and promote Agile best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10 to 15 years of overall experience as a Software Engineer, with 5 to 10 years in a Senior role.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and OAuth.
- Proven experience with Microservice architecture and containerization technologies.- Hands-on experience with Messaging Queues, specifically Kafka (cloud or local environments).
- Solid knowledge of Databases (MS SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB).
- Experience with development tools including Bitbucket/Git, JIRA, and Confluence.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-$X130,000. This role is an existing vacancy
