Location RequirementCandidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment. We are unable to hire candidates residing in
California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.Qualifications- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying production-ready software using Ruby (and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails) and some familiarity or willingness to work with modern front-end technologies (React, Typescript) when needed.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software. We appreciate engineers who explore side projects, contribute to open-source, or publish technical content, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning.
- Deep expertise in backend development. You understand API design, data modeling, performance optimization, and security best practices - while still keeping the user experience in mind.
- Versatility and willingness to learn. You're primarily focused on the backend, but you're comfortable stepping into front-end or infrastructure tasks when needed - whether its debugging a React component, fixing a security vulnerability, or helping optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless product experiences.
