  • Build and maintain LLM-powered features, including prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings and vector search, evaluation harnesses, and safety guardrails.
  • Design, tune, and maintain Postgres schemas, queries, indexes, and migrations supporting both transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Develop and optimize Databricks workloads, including PySpark jobs, Delta Lake tables, workflows, and Unity Catalog governance.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects, data quality issues, query performance problems, and model output regressions.
  • Lead code reviews and set engineering standards, documentation, and development best practices for the team.
  • Collaborate with Product, IT, Data & Analytics, AI & Engineering, and other business teams to develop and enhance technology solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of software and data architecture, including LLM integration patterns and service boundaries.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests and LLM evaluation suites to support application quality, reliability, and cost control.
  • Support application deployments, releases, and upgrades, including CI/CD for Python services and Databricks assets, and ongoing production operations.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, security, reliability, and inference and compute spend.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing applications, data models, development processes, and system integrations.
  • Maintain appropriate technical documentation for applications, pipelines, data models, prompts, and system configurations.
  • Follow organizational standards related to information security, data privacy, access controls, responsible AI use, and software development.
