Full Job Description
As a senior software developer - Node/React at Level20, you'll contribute to the development of innovative technology solutions, with a focus on financial technology projects. In this role, you'll work on front-end and back-end development, cloud-native application architecture, and DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and automation. You'll also collaborate with the technical lead, architects, and technical and business partners to ensure the solution is adaptable to evolving needs. You'll work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment that aligns with Progressive's culture and Level20's innovative mindset.

This is a hybrid role in downtown Cleveland, OH(Office Location: 800 W St Clair Ave STE 200, Cleveland, OH 44113) with free parking. Work-from-home days are possible for this position (Monday and Friday).
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum four years of related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
- In lieu of the above, a minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted.
Preferred skills
- Experience developing cloud-native applications using React, Next js TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with AWS services, Docker, and modern application architecture patterns
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code
- Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, logging, monitoring, and scalable development practices
Compensation
- $118,000-$132,000/year depending on experience
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
