Position Summary

Standish Management is seeking a Senior SharePoint & Power Platform Technical Lead.

This is not a ticket-driven role. We are hiring for ownership, initiative, and accountability - not for someone who waits to be told what to do. If you thrive on taking an objective, figuring out how to accomplish it, and being responsible for the outcome, read on.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Owns the outcome: Accountable from initial conversation through production, not just assigned tasks.
  • Asks until they understand: Stays curious and seeks to fully understand the business problem before building a solution.
  • Proposes, then builds: Turns ambiguity into clear options, recommends an approach, gains alignment, and delivers.
  • Moves without being pushed: Identifies next steps and takes action without waiting for direction.
  • Communicates proactively: Raises blockers early and keeps stakeholders informed on progress, next steps, and decisions needed.
  • Willing to learn the business: Develops knowledge of fund structures, compliance workflows, and operations to create better solutions.
  • Challenges respectfully: Offers alternative approaches backed by sound technical reasoning when appropriate.
  • Showswork, not just status: Demonstrates progress through tangible outputs such as prototypes, designs, configurations, and delivered solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • SharePoint Online
    • Own the firm's SharePoint Online strategy, architecture, and implementation end-to-end

    • Develop secure, maintainable permission models for complex organizational needs
    • Lead enterprise content migration from network file shares using ShareGate
    • Design source-to-target mappings, metadata mappings, and migration validation procedures
    • Evaluate native Microsoft capabilities before introducing custom development
    • Support integration of SharePoint content with Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities
    • Leverage Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, and Entra ID in solution designs
  • Power Platform
    • Lead the firm's Power Platform program across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
    • Design and develop enterprise Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Pages portals
    • Build integrations between Power Platform, SharePoint, Azure, Workday, and other systems
    • Establish architecture, development standards, and ALM pipelines (Dev 12 Test 12 Prod)
    • Implement governance, DLP, CoE Starter Kit, and platform monitoring
    • Proactively identify automation opportunities across Finance, Compliance, and Fund Admin
    • Design and train AI Builder models for document processing and workflow intelligence
    • Configure and maintain Copilot Studio agents embedded in business workflows
  • Solution architecture & integration
    • Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and implementation plans
    • Design integrations with Azure, SQL, Workday, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Graph
    • Work with REST APIs, PowerShell, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps
    • Produce technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and dataflow designs
    • Evaluate technical approaches and recommend solutions based on scalability, security, and cost
    • Challenge proposed approaches when a better alternative exists
  • Technical documentation
    • Produce architecture diagrams, design docs, and migration mappings throughout delivery
    • Maintain architecture decision records, permission models, and data-flow diagrams
    • Document deployment and rollback procedures; write operational runbooks
    • Develop and maintain test plans, test results, and POC artifacts
    • Use draft designs and working artifacts to drive alignment - not just at project end

Ownership & Project Leadership
  • What Independently Driving Work Forward Looks Like Here:
    • Take full ownership of initiatives from discovery through production - not just the assigned slices
    • Proactively identify stakeholders and obtain what's needed to move work forward without being directed
    • Lead discovery sessions - turn incomplete requirements into documented assumptions, options, and recommendations
    • Identify blockers early and actively resolve them - never use a dependency as a reason to stop productive work
    • Maintain actionable backlogs, milestones, and work plans and communicate progress consistently
    • Demonstrate progress through working artifacts - prototypes, scripts, configs, designs - not status updates
    • Operate effectively with limited day-to-day supervision while collaborating across a global team
