Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care appropriate to area assignment for adults, pediatrics, and neonates.

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health and therapy.

Full Job Description
Under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager/Director, the Sr RCP will provide respiratory care appropriate to the area of assignment, adult, pediatric, and neonatal. Perform all duties of blood gas analysis including stick, draw, analysis and reporting.

Required qualifications:
  • Certification from a Respiratory Therapy Program, Or
  • Completion of 2-year certificate from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Upon hire: California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
  • Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association.
  • 1 year Critical care experience in adult and neonatal intensive care.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Upon hire: PALS Instructor
  • Upon hire: Instructor Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
  • Experience as charge or Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
