Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Senior Recruiter - Early Careers to join our Cummins Inc. team in Troy, MI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Drive full-cycle recruiting activities for student and early career talent, ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.
  • Build strong partnerships with Talent Scouts, hiring managers, and stakeholders to align talent strategies with business workforce needs.
  • Facilitate timely candidate assessments, selection decisions, and hiring outcomes while maintaining compliance with established recruiting standards.
  • Strengthen early talent pipelines by engaging candidates from campus programs, conferences, referrals, and other strategic sourcing channels.
  • Deliver a high-touch referral and candidate engagement experience that enhances employer brand perception and talent attraction efforts.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data, reporting, and applicant tracking activities to enable informed decision-making and operational effectiveness.
  • Support compliance, governance, and audit requirements through timely dispositioning, process adherence, and recruiting documentation management.
  • Contribute to strategic recruiting initiatives and Early Careers programs that improve talent acquisition outcomes and support long-term workforce planning.


Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruiting priorities while balancing stakeholder needs, maintaining urgency, and delivering high-quality hiring outcomes.
  • Strong candidate assessment, talent sourcing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse talent pools and influence hiring decisions.
  • Effective communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills that enable collaboration across hiring managers, candidates, Human Resources, and business partners.
  • Proficiency in leveraging recruiting data, analytics, and business insights to drive informed decisions, improve processes, and support operational excellence.
  • Commitment to customer focus, compliance, sound judgment, and inclusive hiring practices while adapting to evolving business needs.


Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.


Qualifications

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Key Competencies:
  • Manages assigned full-cycle recruiting for student requisitions, driving candidates from application through post-offer activities.
  • Partners with Functional Talent Scouts throughout the student recruiting process and provides guidance on established student role requirements, eligibility, and recruiting processes.
  • Reviews candidate and requisition alignments, raises concerns when requirements are not met, and helps resolve alignment issues between Talent Scouts and hiring managers.
  • Manages students engaged through Campus, Conference, Site Teams, and other direct applicant sources, ensuring timely progression and follow-up throughout the recruiting process.
  • Delivers a high-touch employee referral experience for the student population by proactively engaging referred candidates, managing communications and follow-up, and ensuring timely progression through the recruiting process.
  • Maintains the recruiting orderboard in real time, ensuring candidate, requisition, and hiring activity updates are accurate and current to support operational reporting.
  • Supports functional pipeline requisitions and is responsible for timely and accurate applicant dispositioning to support requisition compliance and audit requirements, including the 90-day posting requirement.
  • Supports the Early Careers conversion process by partnering with the Conversion Coordinator to drive ongoing candidate mapping and alignment as student roles become available throughout the season.
  • Supports special projects and other strategic recruiting initiatives based on business needs.
  • Ensures recruiting activities are completed accurately and in accordance with established Talent Acquisition processes, compliance requirements, and governance standards.
  • Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs and Early Careers priorities.
