We are looking for a talented Facility Site Manager - Medium Site to join our team specializing in facilities for our Cummins' business in Stoughton, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations by leading and directing the daily activities of the facilities team to support business continuity and operational excellence.

Drive financial accountability and strategic planning by contributing to annual operating and capital plans, managing budgets, controlling expenditures, and mitigating facility-related risks.

Optimize operational costs and resource utilization by developing and implementing utility expense management strategies that improve efficiency and reduce overall facility costs.

Build and manage high-performing vendor partnerships by overseeing contractors, skilled trades, and service providers to ensure quality work, compliance with corporate standards, and delivery of expected results.

Lead facility improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance building performance, reliability, sustainability, and operational effectiveness through continuous improvement efforts.

Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and renovations by coordinating projects, managing contractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Develop and empower a strong facilities team by recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and motivating employees while providing clear direction and support for day-to-day challenges.

Strengthen organizational performance through effective leadership by delegating assignments based on employee strengths and development goals, fostering engagement, and building a culture of accountability and continuous growth.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Demonstrate strong leadership and operational excellence by taking initiative, directing work effectively, removing obstacles for your team, and continuously improving facility processes to enhance efficiency, service levels, and business performance.

Develop broad facilities management expertise across facility operations, maintenance, design, technology, and real estate management to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective environments that support organizational needs.

Be proactive in risk management and sustainability efforts by leading emergency preparedness programs, maintaining critical facility systems, managing environmental stewardship initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Build collaborative relationships and navigate complexity effectively by partnering with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers, valuing diverse perspectives, and making informed decisions in dynamic and multifaceted facility environments.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

College, university, or equivalent degree required. College, university, or equivalent degree required.

Additional Details:
  • Experience leading a complex technical site and systems is adequate substitute for a college or university degree.
  • Budgeting - Manage annual spend within budget. Experience managing large site budget is critical.
  • Contractor selection and management - Must have significant experience evaluating and working with numerous contractors. Ability to manage projects w/o outside general contracting is a critical requirement.
  • Problem solving - Must be able to collaborate with internal and external experts to drive structured problem solving (7 step process or similar) to both minimize downtime and to provide permanent solutions to problems.
  • General leadership ability - This role owns and/or sponsors numerous other key site activities such as sponsoring certain health, safety and environmental campaigns, and elements of our community engagement. This role is included in our Site Leadership Team and expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors as a visible leader on campus.
