Full Job Description
You will work with Owner/Developers in the renewable energy industry to provide well-rounded risk and insurance project advisory services. Owners/Developers include traditional power and energy clients, true renewable clients, and private equity clients. In this role you will be tasked with taking a total project life cycle perspective - - from pre-development through decommissioning. This requires the senior project risk advisor to be:
  1. a subject matter expert on each aspect of the project life cycle;
  2. a trusted risk advisor, who can advise on the value for money approach to risk transfer; and (3) an advocate for the owner/developer with their contracting partners and the financing parties.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide guidance throughout the project life cycle to ensure seamless risk transfer
  • Provide thought leadership and learning sessions re: the difference of operating in the US vs. the rest of the world
  • Evaluate the project risks, throughout the project life cycle, and provide an assessment with respect to the insurability and transfer of the risk
  • Consult with the client on the best value for money risk transfer program
  • Establish insurance cost benchmarking
  • Provide contract risk advisory services, including negotiations with contractors and suppliers
  • Act as the Owner/Developer's advocate with the Lender's Insurance Advisors and the Tax Equity Advisors
  • Development of a best-in-class insurance program in conjunction with subject matter experts
  • Collaborate with internal resources or external experts on EML/PML analyses
  • Prepare and lead insurance market presentations
  • Act as the project manager between the various brokerage resources to deliver the best-in-class insurance program
  • Prepare a final insurance report that can be relied upon by the client and its finance parties

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position is $222,000 - $250,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus and production incentives in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus and production incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
