About the job

As a Senior Product Data Scientist, you will join the Pixel Data Science team, acting as a critical thought partner to product, engineering, and executive leaders within the centralized devices and services organization. You will leverage data, advanced statistical modeling, and business acumen to drive critical product decisions and optimize performance for Google Pixel phones, watches, and earbuds.

In this role, you will lead end-to-end analytical work streams, build causal models to understand user engagement, and perform analysis on core Pixel technologies like AI and Gemini. If you are strategic, entrepreneurial minded, and passionate about leveraging data to influence the direction of hardware products, we want to hear from you.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $237000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Executive teams to translate complex business and product challenges into analytical solutions.
  • Perform in-depth analyses and experiment design across key Pixel product areas, including camera, Gemini, and AI features, to identify strategic improvement opportunities.
  • Build predictive and causal models to understand user engagement, churn, and loyalty patterns across the Pixel ecosystem.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, predictive workflows, and automated analytical dashboards to track and report on key performance indicators at scale.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and lead the development of AI agents and custom analytical tools to scale team capabilities.
