About the team: The Personalization Data Science team develops advanced machine learning and AI-driven solutions to enhance member engagement, retention, and business growth across Sam's Club. The team builds and maintains Next Best Action models, personalized recommendation systems, and churn prediction models across multiple business domains. Leveraging techniques such as Large Language Models and agentic AI, the team improves recommendation quality, content understanding, and autonomous decision-making. This group drives innovation by creating scalable, intelligent customer experiences that power personalized interactions across various customer touchpoints, contributing significantly to the personalization ecosystem's success.
What you'll do: - Identify and source relevant data from various business domains and databases, ensuring data quality and suitability for analysis.
- Develop, test, and deploy advanced analytical models using programming languages such as Python and SQL to solve complex business problems.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation to optimize predictive accuracy and robustness.
- Create clear, insightful data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives and support scalable model deployment.
- Mentor junior associates in data science methodologies and best practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
