OverviewConduct IFC and as-built IBR dynamic modeling studies in accordance with existing and future ISO-specific requirements and NERC reliability standards, such as PJM's EMT Model Development Guideline for Inverter-Based Resources and NERC MOD-026-2.
ResponsibilitiesHow you can make an impact:- Perform detailed bulk power system dynamic studies using various power system software such as PSCAD and PSSE.
- Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic.
- Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment.
- Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
- Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
- Identify training needs and present them to the Engineering Manager as needed.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

QualificationsBring your passion, here's what's needed:- Master's degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power systems
- 5 years+ of experience as a power systems engineer
- Experience with ERCOT Model Quality Test or equivalent, IEEE-2800, and NERC MOD-026-2
- Experience with performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability
- Experience with power systems software such as PSCAD and PSSE
- Experience with automating/programing in Python
- Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation under experience
