Description & Requirements

Currently, MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Power Platform Software Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, 100% remote opportunity.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Advanced Solution Development: Designs and builds complex, highly functional Power Apps (canvas apps), ensuring optimal performance, responsive design, and seamless user experiences within DoD constraints.
  • Power Apps (Canvas Apps) Development: Designs and builds highly responsive, professional Canvas Apps with a strong focus on intuitive UI/UX design, ensuring seamless user adoption, accessibility, and optimal performance within DoD constraints.
  • Complex Process Automation: Architects and engineers intricate Power Automate Cloud flow automations to replace legacy manual processes, heavily utilizing standard connectors to optimize licensing costs while handling heavy data transformations.
  • Power BI Report Creation: Engineers dynamic Power BI reports and dashboards that transform complex data sets into clear, actionable visual insights, enabling data-driven decision-making for leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Data Modeling & Integration: Analyzes legacy data systems and engineers' custom Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to integrate this data into scalable, relational schemas within SharePoint or Dataverse for Teams.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Leads the creation of complex Power BI reports and dashboards, safely embedding insights into canvas apps or Teams channels.
  • Requirements Translation: Collaborates with stakeholders and business analysts to translate complex business requirements into effective, actionable technical designs and data models.
  • Mentorship & Quality Assurance: Acts as the primary technical resource for mid-level developers, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting advanced logic issues, and championing development best practices.
  • Deployment Operations: Manages the release lifecycle of low-code solutions and ensures all deliverables meet production schedules and technical design requirements.
  • Development Ownership: Acts as a technical resource and lead technical delivery for small-to-medium-sized projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provides live product demonstrations to stakeholders and influences client satisfaction through high-quality deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of relevant professional software development experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps (canvas apps), Power Automate Cloud flows, and Power BI.
  • Expertise in designing and building scalable relational data models using Dataverse for Teams and SharePoint.
  • Deep understanding of Power Platform licensing models, with a proven ability to engineer complex solutions that minimize or eliminate premium connector dependencies.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Power Platform Applied Skills
  • Microsoft Power Platform Certifications
  • Experience supporting Department of the Air Force, DoD, or other federal agencies within GCC/GCC-High tenants.
  • Experience working actively within an Agile/Scrum delivery team.
  • Experience extending the Power Platform using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).


Security Clearance Requirements:

US citizenship with the ability to obtain up to a Secret level clearance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $105,900.00-$177,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
