Full Job Description
About the Role

MongoDB is looking for a technical people-first, and execution-obsessed leader to lead the Recruiting Operations team. As the operational backbone of Talent Acquisition, the RecOps team establishes and maintains the foundational infrastructure that makes scalable, high-velocity hiring possible.

As a Senior Manager of Recruiting Operations, you are the visionary leader responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to build these crucial operational frameworks. You will drive the overarching vision, strategy, and execution across three core areas: process optimization and operational rigor, RecTech modernization and tooling strategy, and predictive talent intelligence and trusted data architecture. By establishing this infrastructure, you will empower TA to consistently find, interview, and achieve the best possible hiring outcomes for the organization. This leadership role demands an exceptional individual with strong technical aptitude, deep data and insights experience, and a proven track record of workflow redesign. You will empower your team to continuously refine the systems, tools, and processes used to support recruiting and hiring teams, ultimately ensuring a scalable and successful hiring environment.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the RecOps Team: Drive the vision and strategy for the CoreOps team, aligning your roadmap with overall Talent Acquisition (TA) and business goals. You will take full ownership of the three core sub-pillars, taking an innovative and bold approach to identifying and executing large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Own the TA Tooling Roadmap & RecTech Modernization: In partnership with HR Tech, establish and oversee the TA technology stack and vendor relationships. You will actively manage the TA tooling roadmap with our Recruiting Product Manager, leading the discovery, implementation, onboarding, offboarding, and systematic, data-focused evaluation of tools. This includes hands-on experimentation with automations and co-leading our AI strategy
  • Champion Predictive Talent Intelligence: Partner with People Analytics to advance the use of recruiting analytics and define key metrics of success. While you will oversee long-term data integrity and self-service reporting, you must also be highly hands-on-using Google Sheets and advanced formulas to manipulate data, generate actionable insights, and provide ad-hoc reporting
  • Optimize Processes & Workflows: Redesign core recruiting processes to improve operational rigor across the hiring lifecycle. You will act as a strategic thought partner, working closely with cross-functional People Team partners to ensure that your redesigned workflows operate seamlessly in line with other broader People processes and systems
  • Drive Governance & Compliance: Own TA Policy, Governance, and Compliance as a horizontal pillar across all initiatives and in alignment with our broader security, legal and people teams. You will define and oversee official guidelines, standards, and oversight (e.g., Global Recruiting Policy, Approval Hierarchies, Data Privacy) to guarantee control and adherence to all laws (e.g., EEO/OFCCP)
  • Act as a subject matter expert and strategic thought partner, utilizing deep knowledge of the internal and external hiring landscape to lead and drive key operational projects with cross-functional teams. This ensures solutions adapt to evolving business needs
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to your team, acting as an exceptional leader who plays an active role in guiding and upleveling individuals. You will foster the professional development of a relatively junior team while ensuring deliverables are aligned with the overarching TA strategy
What You'll Bring
  • Proven Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience with a proven history of leading and executing complex recruiting operations initiatives, complemented by 3+ years of people management and excellent coaching and development skills
  • Technical Aptitude & Tooling Expertise: Deep expertise with core recruiting technologies (e.g., Greenhouse, Gem, Metaview). You have a demonstrated track record of managing a TA tooling roadmap, evaluating tool ROI systematically, sunsetting redundant platforms, and successfully experimenting with automations and AI in recruiting workflows
  • Workflow Redesign & People Team Alignment: Proven operational rigor and strategic planning aptitude. You are highly experienced at redesigning complex processes and collaborating deeply with People Team partners to ensure seamless system, policy, and process alignment
  • Hands-On Data Fluency: You don't just rely on BI tools like Tableau; you are highly proficient in Google Sheets and comfortable using formulas to independently pull, interpret, and communicate data for ad-hoc reporting and root-cause diagnostics
  • Independent & Autonomous Execution: You are an independent, results-driven leader who operates autonomously. You take full ownership of your team's execution, deliverables, and outcomes across all high-priority initiatives
  • Compliance Familiarity: Familiarity with TA Policy, Governance, and Compliance, with a focus on monitoring and addressing the evolving state of global laws and regulations
  • Strong Relationship Building: You have a track record of successfully partnering and influencing cross-functional partners, stakeholders, and varying levels of leadership. You are a strong relationship builder who enjoys communicating and collaborating effectively across a wide range of functional teams and audiences
