Purpose
This role contributes to the overall success of the Pricing function in International Commercial Banking by ensuring individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of business strategies and objectives, while ensuring all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

The Senior Manager executes and advises on pricing strategy, modelling, governance, change management, and enablement for International Commercial Banking, supporting disciplined pricing decisions, margin improvement, and client-level profitability.

What You'll Do:
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adequate business controls related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Support execution of commercial pricing strategy across International Commercial Banking.
  • Develop and maintain pricing principles, model assumptions, guardrails, approval thresholds, and escalation guidance.
  • Analyze pricing, profitability, portfolio, and market trends to recommend model refinements and governance actions.
  • Partner with Finance, Analytics, Treasury, Credit Solutions, and country teams to validate assumptions and profitability measures.
  • Translate pricing strategy into practical guidance, tools, and decision frameworks.
  • Support the regional pricing governance framework, including routines, decision rights, escalation protocols, and reporting.
  • Document and maintain standardized pricing processes, with appropriate local flexibility.
  • Monitor adherence to pricing standards and recommend corrective actions when required.
  • Prepare recommendations for senior management on pricing performance, governance effectiveness, and process changes.
  • Support change management required to embed disciplined, relationship-based pricing.
  • Coordinate post-implementation training, enablement materials, and adoption support.
  • Track adoption feedback and identify process gaps or reinforcement needs.
  • Advise and coordinate with business, Finance, Analytics, Credit Solutions, Risk, Technology, Canadian Commercial Banking, and country teams.
  • Prepare clear stakeholder communication on pricing strategy, governance, implementation progress, adoption risks, and required actions.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, commercial banking, profitability management, financial analysis, treasury, credit, portfolio management, or related functions.
  • Experience supporting pricing frameworks, models, governance processes, and profitability analysis.
  • Experience translating strategy and analytics into practical processes, guidance, and enablement materials.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and multi-country stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of commercial banking products, pricing levers, profitability drivers, and relationship-based pricing.
  • Strong analytical, governance, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication, planning, and execution skills in complex, multi-country environments.
