Job Description

Title: Senior Manager of Budgeting

Department: Cash Management

Reports to: SeniorDirector of Lending

Positions Supervised: None

Location: Omaha, NE

Travel Required: Occasional as to attend annual convention and seminars, less than 10%

Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000,exempt; based on experience

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Your Role

The Senior Manager of Budgeting supports all aspects of our in-house lending program which is designed to assist our franchises with growing their business. This role is unique as you will interact on a regular basis with franchise owners to improve their financial position and assist with profitable growth, especially new owners. You will work with franchise owners to provide a good foundation that will guide them to build strong financial acumen during all stages of their business.

What You'll Do in This Role

Financial Support 70%
  • Implement and execute a standard program involving a budget process designed to assist franchise owners with managing their debt and growing their business based on sound financial practices.
  • Analyze individual franchise debt levels and assist in identifying issues and corrective actions needed to reduce/eliminate their debt. Follow up on established budget goals and ensure accountability.
  • Understand business drivers and provide coaching to franchises to improve cash flow, profitability and improve KPI's.
  • Execute franchise owner training related to the lending program.
  • Implement new policies and procedures as needed based on direction from the Director of Lending.


Relationship Development 30%
  • Partner with franchise owners and home office team members to support the franchise network regarding financial acumen, budget accountability, and the lending program, especially focused on new franchise owners and those with less than a year in business.

Qualifications/Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in lending or banking preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in formulating, developing, and presenting budgets
  • Franchising experience preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Deeply passionate about our mission and can articulate why

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze detailed financial and operations information/statistics
  • Willingness and ability to help non-financial customers understand financial concepts
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and a drive to provide customer service to franchise owners
  • Must be able to pass a background check including Motor Vehicle Report
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

The Office Environment:

As part of the company, you can expect to work in a standard office setting where there is a positive team atmosphere. Our office is a collaborative space where cross-department projects are frequent. Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate.You will have exposure to moderate noise levels and on occasion outside weather conditions (walking between buildings, networking events).
