What is the opportunity?
This is a unique opportunity to join RBC's FTP Center of Excellence and Enterprise Performance Management Finance team where you will provide value-added strategic financial advice to senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-profile group. You will drive enterprise-wide performance management initiatives, enhance EPM capabilities across key business segments, and support the CFO, Group Executive, and Board of Directors with insightful analysis that influences critical decision-making.

The FTP COE and EPM team enables early identification of opportunities and issues, delivering actionable strategic recommendations that support long-term bank performance. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to Corporate Support activities, build a strong understanding of Corporate Treasury activities, and be exposed to many key stakeholders and subject matter experts in the space.

What Will You Do?
  • Provide support to the team on FTP-related initiatives by providing valued advice and contributing to the success of implementation through planning, execution, and control framework development
  • Collaborate across all platforms on FTP matters, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner while ensuring proper documentation
  • Assist in the analysis and development of proposed solutions for the FTP mechanisms for new and existing business processes and enhance documentation and controls surrounding the FTP mechanisms; working closely with key business segment platforms and Corporate Treasury.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and optimize processes to enhance Enterprise Performance Management effectiveness
  • Manage ad hoc projects related to the FTP COE mandate
  • Support the team in providing oversight of RBC's Corporate Support segment, including assisting with the monthly and quarterly reporting process; serve as secondary lead for Corporate Support earnings estimates during close cycles with the primary lead
  • This role also requires developing a strong understanding of Management Funds Transfer Pricing processes, working closely with peers in the FTP Centre of Excellence and Corporate Treasury PM teams.


What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Have
  • Undergraduate degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting)
  • 5+ years of experience in the banking industry, consulting, or public accounting, with demonstrated success in leadership/ senior advisory roles
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment supporting senior leaders with complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Exceptional ability to influence and impact without direct authority
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to question and challenge information for integrity
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement


Nice to Have
  • Master's Degree in Business or Finance (MBA, MFin, etc.)
  • Professional Designations: CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent
  • Experience with automation tools and programming languages such as VBA or Python to drive process efficiency and enhance analytical capabilities
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the EPM system and/ or Cognos TM1
  • Experience with enterprise strategy execution and performance governance frameworks
