JOB DESCRIPTION

Where We Need You

Protiviti is looking for a Business Performance Improvement Senior Manager to join our growing Finance & Performance Management team.

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Manager, you'll lead client engagements to solve complex finance transformation challenges and provide strategic advice on the design and implementation of future-state finance operating models, processes, and systems. You'll build and sustain senior-level client relationships - including with CFOs, Controllers, and finance leadership - acting as a trusted advisor throughout the transformation lifecycle. You'll play an active role in business development, identifying new finance transformation opportunities, shaping proposals, and expanding Protiviti's presence in the market. You'll serve as a leader and ambassador of Protiviti within the finance and business community. You will also mentor, coach, and develop Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants, overseeing multiple engagement teams and ensuring the successful execution of complex, multi-phase transformation work plans.

What Will Help You Be Successful

  • You are energized by identifying opportunities to modernize and transform a client's finance function - from record-to-report and order-to-cash to procure-to-pay and FP&A processes.
  • You're motivated to deepen your expertise in finance system transformations, ERP implementations, and evolving finance technology and automation trends (e.g., ERP migrations, RPA, EPM tools).
  • You are passionate about cultivating senior finance-leadership relationships and delivering exceptional, differentiated client experiences throughout a transformation journey.
  • You have a strong interest in program management, team leadership, and developing the next generation of finance transformation talent.
  • You actively shape a positive team culture that fosters open communication, collaboration, and accountability across engagement teams.
  • You create meaningful development opportunities for others and find ways for your team to improve outcomes for clients and communities.
  • You're driven to grow a diverse portfolio of finance transformation clients across multiple industries and to contribute to Protiviti's business development efforts.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

Experience with or understanding of:

  • Finance transformation strategy, including target operating model design, finance process redesign, shared services/GBS models, and organizational design.
  • Business transformation and project/change management methodologies applied to large-scale finance system implementations (ERP, EPM, CPM).
  • Leading finance process analysis and assessments - across areas such as record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, budgeting/forecasting, and financial close - and developing future-state roadmaps.
  • Service excellence - identifying complex client finance issues, determining client needs through innovative diagnostic approaches, validating analysis, and developing strategic recommendations in the context of the broader finance transformation engagement.
  • Strong track record evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting complex financial and operational data to drive executive-level decision-making.
  • Proven ability to establish, cultivate, and expand senior finance and business relationships and a professional network, including contributing to sales and business development activities.
  • Ability to translate and communicate complex finance transformation issues, risks, or challenges to client personnel, including CFOs and other C-suite executives.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multiple teams and engagements, including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across workstreams, and the ability to motivate and develop staff at all levels.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field); MBA, CPA, or other relevant professional designation an asset.
  • 8+ years working in Consulting, Finance Transformation, Project and/or Change Management, Financial Reporting, Assurance Services, or a related field, either in professional services or industry, with demonstrated progression into a leadership role.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP and finance systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud/Fusion, Workday, NetSuite, Business Central, Acumatica), including experience leading or supporting large-scale ERP or finance system implementations.
  • Working knowledge of finance and performance management tools and concepts (e.g., EPM/CPM platforms, financial close and consolidation tools, reporting and analytics solutions) is an asset.
  • Proven experience leading business development efforts, including proposal development, client pursuits, and expanding existing finance transformation accounts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
