Job Description Summary
As a Container Platform Senior Product Manager, you will play an important role in driving innovation and supporting the development of the enterprise Container Platform, across multiple cloud service providers (Azure, GCP, AWS and CVS Private Cloud). With your proven experience in Kubernetes-based container technologies and product management, you will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into actionable product strategies and roadmaps. Your role is essential in enabling secure, scalable, and automated container solutions that support mission critical applications and services. You will operate in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with engineers, architects, and application teams to deliver reliable and outcome-driven services.
This is a leadership role that requires deep technical fluency, exceptional cross-functional influence, and the ability to drive long-term product vision while ensuring delivery excellence. The Senior Product Manager is also expected to mentor and develop other product managers, building maturity and consistency across the product discipline.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for product strategy, vision, and backlog management for the enterprise Container Platform (AKS, EKS, GKE, RKE, istio, Akuity Platform, Hashicorp Vault)
• Use customer feedback, analytics, and data-driven insights to inform product direction
• Define and manage metrics to measure the success of the Container Platform
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to optimize the user experience, speed delivery and ensure the right outcomes
• Engage in validation activities to ensure product strategies address customer and business needs
• Break down complex problems into actionable tasks and prioritize backlogs for the Container Platform
• Support automation, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices to improve service scalability and reliability
• Ensure successful execution of standards and governance requirements for the Container Platform
Required Experience
• 8+ years as a Product Manager, with 2 years of product management in large scale container product offerings (particularly AKS, GKE and RKE)
• 4 years Hands-on experience with supporting application development teams in a shared (multi-tenant) environment
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes-based container solutions, including considerations for scalability, performance, and security. Experience with implementing and supporting large scale Kubernetes environments in Azure and GCP - 2 years
• 6 years Experience with automation, external secrets management, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• 8+ Experience in creating and maintaining product roadmaps tied to customer and enterprise outcomes
• 8+ Proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, architecture, security, and business teams
• 4 years Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and build alignment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decisions
• Exposure to AI and its use in daily product management tasks
• Proven success in delivering an experience that significantly reduces the toil of provisioning and managing Kubernetes clusters in large enterprise environments
• Experience as an application developer
Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
