About this role

The Senior Manager, Customer Growth will drive and optimize Skip's promotional marketing budget, ensuring every dollar is deployed to drive incremental growth, retention, and win-back. This role acts as a bridge between data strategy, customer engagement and execution, managing the overarching voucher spend framework to optimize for specific objectives, customer lifestages, and measurable incrementality. The Senior Manager will be at the forefront of modernizing our marketing promotion strategy, utilizing AI integration, agents, and advanced tooling to automate and scale spend efficiency.

Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Toronto office & 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Head of Engagement & Value Proposition

These are some of the key components to the position:

Promotional Marketing & Budget Strategy
  • Develop and refine a data-driven strategy for total promotional voucher spend, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer lifestage goals.
  • Optimize budget allocation to maximize incrementality, ensuring competitive cost-per-incremental-order metrics.
  • Translate complex data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence into high-impact strategies that drive loyalty and growth.
  • Partner with finance, analytics, and business insights teams to forecast and track program ROI.


Operationalizing Spend via AI & Tooling
  • Lead the integration of AI-driven tools and autonomous agents to automate voucher deployment and budget optimization.
  • Build and maintain operational frameworks that allow for real-time adjustments to spend based on performance data.
  • Continuously test and refine AI-driven models to improve targeting, personalization, and promotional effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Deliver the promo and pricing framework of the marketing incentive offer budget, delivering against contractual and partner commitments, and funding lifecycle and incentive marketing objectives
  • Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate promotional strategy into broader customer experience initiatives.
  • Act as the central point of contact for promotional budget performance, reporting on key business metrics like lift against control, cost-per-action, and incrementality.


What will you bring to the team?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or marketing operations within a data-driven, consumer-tech environment.
  • Expert-level analytical skills; deep experience in financial modeling, attribution, and incrementality testing.
  • Proven track record of operationalizing marketing spend using automation, AI tools, or technical marketing stacks.
  • Strong strategic mindset with a bias for action and technical curiosity.

Compensation range: $103,000 - $129,000
