What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will drive data-driven decision-making across RBC's most strategic initiatives by leading the design and delivery of next-generation reporting solutions. These dashboards and insights will empower our partners to make timely and informed decisions on mission critical initiatives - including Next Best Action (NBA), Client Growth and channel effectiveness across RBC's physical and digital channels. In this role you will work directly with business partners in NBA, Marketing, Product, Digital and Personal Distribution to fulfill the following critical functions:
  • Develop and deliver next-generation NBA and client reporting solutions for Personal Banking and Commercial Banking that align with business, marketing, and financial objectives


  • Provide subject matter expertise on Performance Measurement Enablement (PME), Operation Data Store (ODS) and Client 360 data assets to support National Office partners in tracking client and advisor interaction activities across digital and physical channels, and lead deployment initiatives.


  • Champion best practices in data and reporting development, including standardized design and user experience, accurate key metrics measurement, process automation and data enablement through semantic data layer implementation


What will you do?
  • Lead the development and maintenance of NBA and client dashboards that deliver insights and track campaign performance and client journey success across all lines of business
  • Partner with business and marketing stakeholders to understand campaign objectives and capture reporting requirements that drive strategic decision-making
  • Leverage AI tools such as RBC Assist Pro and Copilot to generate insights for new and existing dashboards. Lead the development of agentic solutions that empower end users to ask analytical questions directly against team-maintained data assets
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to existing dashboards-optimizing both front-end visualizations and backend data processes to enhance user experience and adoption
  • Lead the migration of the existing reporting suite from SAS to Python, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, and automate production jobs using Apache Airflow


What you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline
  • 5+ years of experience building analytical data workflows in Python. Proficient in extracting data from enterprise sources (Teradata, data lakes, S3), performing complex transformations and wrangling, and persisting semantic layers for reporting; skilled in optimizing processing approach (Pandas/Polars for in-memory, PySpark for distributed workloads) with strong emphasis on code quality, documentation, and testability; experience with workflow orchestration and automation (e.g., Apache Airflow)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with ability to extract and manipulate data from multiple data platforms including Teradata (RDBMS) and data lake (Hive tables); skilled in advanced SQL techniques and query optimization across different architectures
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and experience in developing dashboards using Tableau
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Strong business acumen and communication and presentation skills


Nice-to-have:
  • Technical experience with SAS (Base SAS 9.4/Enterprise guide/SAS Studio)
  • Knowledge of Direct Marketing Campaigns
  • Understanding of product management, sales, finance, pricing and risk management
  • Master's degree in quantitative discipline
