What you'll be doing

As the Senior Manager, Credit Risk Solutions, you will assist the Director, Credit Risk Solutions with managing the Capital Markets Risk System initiatives so they deliver effective risk management information, and are properly positioned to respond to changing regulatory direction and practices. You will take ownership of your initiative (operational projects OR strategic projects) and collaborate with various stakeholder groups to deliver state of the art and innovative solutions that meet key business objectives and regulatory requirements. You will provide subject matter expertise to support data, measurement, and process enhancements during project stages to ensure successful delivery and will lead partners in Risk, Capital Markets and Technology in designing and implementing solutions. You will be expected to provide an end-to-end client experience, such as: understanding the client issue, defining the purpose of the change, proposing a solution, and summarizing results to the client (e.g. walk through of test cases and providing impact analysis).

How you'll succeed
  • Apply Domain Knowledge - Utilize expert knowledge of capital markets activities/products and experience in Counterparty Credit Risk measurement and management. You will be familiar with pertinent regulatory requirements (existing and emerging).
  • Initiative Oversight - Manage the lifecycle of your Agile and Release initiatives, which include: corresponding with the client to understand their issues; corresponding with technology to provide leadership and guidance to support your clients interests; and clearly setting out the objectives and expectations of the initiative.
  • Business Analysis - Analyze, document and produce business requirements to deliver high quality solutions, through the existing infrastructure framework related to calculation and reporting of risk related metrics. You will ensure that the solutions meet CMRM and CIBC data integrity standards within a well-controlled and robust data management framework.
  • Relationship Building - Collaborate with the various teams within and outside the RMSR group and Risk Management Technology. Your work will contribute to business leadership's perception of RMSR as added value to their businesses.

  • You can demonstrate experience. With Capital Market Product (OTC, Repo, Fixed Income and SecLend product) pricing, terminology and risk calculations. You understand Rational databases, SQL query analyzer, Microsoft excel and electronic information flow. You have experience utilizing risk systems & applications, front office trading systems, Counterparty credit risk measurements and exposures, and capital models principles (SACCR, IMM, etc), best practices, processes, procedures, trading products and services. You have experience managing project and release intake, prioritization methods, delivery processes, including financials, project management, solution documentation and Enterprise Delivery Frameworks (Agile).
