What you will be doing:

The Tangerine Data & Analytics team is looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to lead the next generation of reporting, metrics, and self-serve analytics across the bank. As Tangerine grows on the Engine platform, this role will help rebuild and modernize management and functional reporting, set enterprise standards for a shared business metrics layer, and lead conversational analytics as a core part of the Analytics 2.0 vision. The successful candidate will bring strong business judgment, technical depth, and the ability to turn complex data needs into simple, trusted, and scalable solutions.

Is this role right for you? - In this role you will:

  • Reporting Modernization
    • Lead the optimization and rebuilding of management and functional reporting as the Engine platform launches and grows.
    • Create reporting solutions that are simple, reliable, and easy for business teams to use.
  • Shared Business Metrics Layer Standards
    • Lead the development and execution of enterprise standards for a shared business metrics layer that centralizes key business metrics across Tangerine.
    • Partner with business and analytics teams to define common metrics, data elements, and measurement rules.
  • Metric Continuity and Governance
    • Ensure key metrics built using Engine data remain consistent with legacy reporting so historical trends and analysis remain reliable.
    • Identify legacy metrics that cannot be recreated in Engine and escalate them appropriately or help prioritize required changes.
  • Conversational Analytics
    • Lead the execution of conversational analytics, one of the three pillars of Tangerine's Analytics 2.0 vision.
    • Help business users access trusted insights through intuitive, natural language analytics experiences.
  • Agent Standards and Evaluation
    • Set standards for how employees and analytics professionals create, train, and manage domain specialist agents.
    • Define key inputs for agent creation and management, including table schemas, few-shot examples, golden sets, evaluations, and agent performance measurement.
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on reporting, metrics, self-serve analytics, and agent-enabled insights.
    • Build practical roadmaps that connect business priorities with scalable analytics and business intelligence solutions.
  • Communication & Change Management
    • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.
    • Lead through change and help teams adopt new reporting, metric, and analytics standards.
