We're looking for aSenior Mainframe Storage Engineer (IBM z/OS) for a role in Columbia, SC (strongly preferred); State College, PA; or Dallas, TX. Skills & Qualifications:- 9 years of related IT experience and 2 years in corporate planning or strategic development (can be concurrent)
- Strong expertise in IBM z/OS storage administration
- Experience with:
- Coding SMS Client routines
- ISMF to translate, validate, and activate client routines, define and maintain SMS constructs
- HSM configuration and administration
- Monitoring SMS storage group utilization
- RMM configuration and administration
Responsibilities:- Provide architectural guidance while also supporting day-to-day operational activities
- Monitor and maintain the mainframe storage environment
- Work closely with storage vendors on support, implementations, and enhancements
- Participate in product upgrades, configuration changes, and break/fix activities
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing
- Utilize ServiceNow for incident and change management processes
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on storage strategy and best practices
- Participate in an on-call rotation
Education/Certifications:- Four-year degree required; Master's degree preferred
The hourly rate for this position is $98.04.
