Full Job Description
We're hiring a COBOLDeveloper to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Work Authorization: U.S. citizens and Green Card holders only. Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience
  • Proficiency in COBOL for batch and online application development
  • Experience with JCL for batch processing, job scheduling, and restart/recovery
  • Knowledge of DB2 for SQL development, database access, and performance tuning
  • Experience with CICS for online transaction processing and support

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with IMS for database and transaction processing
  • Familiarity with IBM MQ (MQ Series) for application messaging and integration
  • Experience with VS Code, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Zowe, Node.js, Git-based source control, and AI-assisted development workflows
  • Healthcare payer experience, particularly claims adjudication, eligibility, benefits, pricing, provider, or pharmacy systems

Key Responsibilities:

Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; or 4 years of job-related work experience; OR
  • 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree

The hourly rate for this position is $50.79.
