Job Summary
We are seeking an Embedded Linux Platform Engineer to support the migration and modernization of an existing product across Intel-based embedded systems. This role will focus on Linux platform porting, OS upgrades, and enabling cloud-based deployment and Over-the-Air (OTA) update capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Port and migrate embedded Linux software to a new Intel-based hardware platform.
• Complete the ongoing Ubuntu upgrade from 18.04 to 22.04, including kernel, file system, and driver updates.
• Configure and upgrade bootloaders as part of the Ubuntu platform upgrade.
• Build and support production infrastructure, including software packaging and release generation.
• Implement and support Over-the-Air (OTA) update capabilities using AWS/Amazon tools.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for platform deliverables.
Required Qualifications
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux development.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel, device drivers, and bootloaders.
• Experience with system bring-up, porting, or platform migration.
• Experience with Ubuntu, Yocto, or similar Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with Intel/x86 embedded systems.
• Experience writing test plans and validating embedded systems.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AWS, IoT, or edge device platforms.
• Experience implementing or supporting OTA update systems.
• Familiarity with FleetEdge or similar edge computing frameworks.
