Position Overview

The Senior IT Project Manager leads complex, high-visibility, enterprise-wide initiatives across systems, infrastructure, integrations, and business applications. This role owns full lifecycle delivery-from strategic planning to execution and operational transition-and partners with senior leaders, architects, and vendors to deliver scalable, high-impact outcomes. The Senior IT PM provides leadership through influence, mentors junior PMs, and drives continuous improvement in delivery frameworks and governance.

Strategic Leadership & Planning
  • Lead large-scale, high-visibility IT projects involving enterprise applications (ERP/CRM), SaaS platforms, integrations, infrastructure, and/or security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive sponsors to define project strategy, scope, roadmap, resourcing model, and success metrics.
  • Drive alignment across business units to ensure objectives support organizational priorities.
  • Build comprehensive project artifacts: detailed plans, schedules, budgets/forecasts, communication plans, and change strategies.

Project Execution & Delivery
  • Oversee day-to-day management of complex workstreams; ensure on-time, on-budget, in-scope delivery with high quality.
  • Direct matrixed teams (BAs, developers, architects, QA, PMs) and vendors/partners through requirements, design, configuration/build, testing/QA/UAT, change management, cutover, hypercare, and operational transition.
  • Implement and enforce governance, stage gates, change control, and QA standards.
  • Maintain ongoing documentation and adjust resources/plans as needed to meet delivery commitments.
  • Leverage data to generate organizational and people insights that inform focus areas and strengthen decision-making.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, executives, and business sponsors.
  • Provide clear, concise communication of status, milestones, risks, issues, decisions, and financials to leadership (including steering committee updates).
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops, project meetings, retrospectives, and vendor communications; create agendas, decks, minutes, and post-meeting deliverables.
  • Solicit customer feedback where applicable and benchmark external best practices to identify improvement opportunities.

Budgeting, Vendor & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts; track actuals and variances.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor selection, SOW creation, contract negotiation, and vendor performance.
  • Coordinate resource requests across business units; align capacity with budgets and portfolio priorities.

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies; create mitigation and contingency plans and drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain audit-ready traceability and governance documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Process Improvement & Organizational Maturity
  • Champion continuous improvement of delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid), tools, templates, and standards.
  • Recognize internal improvement opportunities and lead teams to design and implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level PMs; contribute to PMO playbooks and best practices.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to company core values and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience delivering cloud-based, enterprise-level solutions using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Professional certifications: PMP, CAPM, MSP, CSM, or related project management certification.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise application implementations; CRM/ERP experience required (Salesforce and/or NetSuite preferred).
  • Expertise with project/Agile tools: Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Smartsheet (or equivalents).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Advanced stakeholder management, conflict resolution, budgeting/forecasting, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring and/or developing others; able to lead through influence in a matrixed, remote environment.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or global organizations; familiarity with complex integrations, data migration, security/compliance, and change management.
  • Advanced ability to rapidly understand and evaluate new technologies, business processes, and system architectures, applying that knowledge to guide solution design and delivery.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights for executives and senior stakeholders

Fully Remote (U.S. Only): This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary.

Physical requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $106,100 - $125,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
