Full Job Description
As a Senior Gameplay Animator (First-Person) at Ubisoft Montreal, you will be responsible for creating animations and animation systems for the main character in First Person view.

What you'll do
  • Createfirst-person animationsthat follow the visual language defined by theAnimation Directorand respectgame design constraints.
  • Produce high-quality animations usingkeyframe animation. Most main character animations are fully keyframed based onmultiple video references.
  • Process and enhancemotion capture data, which is used as a foundation for selected animation systems.
  • Fine-tune animation data with a high level ofprecision, as required by thegame engine, with strong attention to detail.
  • Export and integrate animations according totechnical guidelines, in collaboration with theTechnical Director or Technical Animator, as well as designers and programmers.
  • Test, review, and iterate onanimation systems directly in-game.
  • Work closely with fellowanimators, theAnimation Director, programmers, and designers to deliver featureson time and at the expected quality level.
  • Take ownership of thefinal in-game feelof your work, which is the primary measure of animation quality.
