As part of a hardworking team of estimators and proposal pricing professionals, you will support proposal pricing activities and price/cost volume development for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the proposal lifecycle. You will support and lead cost volume development and estimating/pricing activities. You will help advance Blue Origin's proposal capabilities. Using our tools and processes you will develop comprehensive and compelling proposals working to advance Blue Origin's objectives and goals. Your work will directly contribute to the future course of Blue Origin and will help advance the vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit the Earth.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, collaborate, develop, review, and present cost estimates in compliance with internal and external requirements
- Support proposal activities for Blue Origin's commercial and government customers
- Develop cost estimates for Internal Research & Development (IR&D) efforts
- Prepare cost estimates across all Blue Origin product lines, including:
- Liquid rocket propulsion
- Suborbital launch services
- Orbital launch services
- Lunar landing services
- In-space applications
- Perform concurrent estimating activities involving a variety of stakeholders, complexities, levels of scope definition, and magnitudes
- Write Basis of Estimate (BOE) narratives to document and rationalize estimating approaches
- Collaborate as part of a team of cost professionals to deliver high-quality estimates
- Contribute to the development and improvement of estimating practices and processes as Blue Origin continues to grow and evolve
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years' experience
- In depth understanding of FAR, DFARS, NFS, Business Systems Criteria, and other US Government regulations and the requirements for compliance.
- Ability to read and understand proposal documents like the request for proposal (RFP), scope of work (SOW), and relevant cost related documents provided by the customer.
- Advanced professional expertise in cost competitive, well supported, and accurate cost estimates, proformas, and business models.
- Desire to identify and lead process improvement efforts.
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Desire to train, develop, and mentor others.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Current TS/SCI
Desired:
- Aerospace, spacecraft, launch vehicle, or relevant domain experience
- Experience with building estimating, pricing, and cost management models and use of typical industry tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ability to interpret complex Excel models.
Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $124,476.00 - $174,265.35
