About the roleAs the Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing electrical projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality and safety.
What you'll do- Lead and manage electrical projects of varying sizes and complexity.
- Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and performance, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and addressing concerns proactively.
- Allocate and manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure they adhere to project requirements and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve resource constraints or conflicts.
- Develop and monitor project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to maximize project profitability.
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce safety protocols on all project sites.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain a focus on quality assurance, monitoring workmanship and materials.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement risk management plans to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Generate and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project records.
- Provide regular project updates to company leadership.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, demonstrating successful project completions in electrical construction.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and facilitate effective collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are a plus.
- 7+ years of PM experience
- Projects of $10M plus
- Strong proficiency in software and tools (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, Plangrid) and Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements- Maneuver on uneven ground and climb ladders
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35lbs
- Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time while using tools and perform repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
