About the role

The Site Superintendent will lead the on-site execution of large-scale electrical construction projects for CS Erickson in Central Texas. This role involves overseeing field operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

What you'll do

Project Leadership

  • Supervise and manage daily operations at the project site, including the activities of electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all work complies with contract documents, plans, specifications, and local codes.
  • Conduct pre-construction planning, including site assessments and scheduling.

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor field staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide clear direction to team members.
  • Support employee development by identifying training opportunities and encouraging growth.

Quality Assurance and Safety

  • Enforce company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and site inspections.
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that could impact project success, escalating concerns as necessary.

Communication and Coordination

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the CS Erickson team to ensure alignment with project goals and company standards.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly project reports, including progress updates, labor hours, and material usage.

Budget and Schedule Management

  • Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Identify and address potential delays or cost overruns promptly.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Qualifications

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Valid electrical journeyman or master electrician license
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • Proven track record of managing projects ranging from commercial to industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Basic proficiency in construction management software and tools such as Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, plangrid, etc.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

  • 10+ years of electrical field leadership experience.
  • 10+ years of electrical experience.
  • Can manage crews of 40+
  • Projects greater than $10,000,000
  • Strong proficiency in software and tools (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, Procore, Plangrid) and Microsoft Office Suite
