What to Expect:
In this role you will:
• Work with the Product Owner and Squad members to develop, test, configure, upgrade and maintain Datacenter Network Infrastructure in line with agreed requirements
• Deploy Network Infrastructure and Life Cycle management according to our change management processes
• Collaborate with our internal and external customers following DevOps/Agile principles and best practices
• Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation
• Work with your team to implement and operate your solutions
• Perform Swift Datacenter Network's Network Management software deployments and upgrades
• Perform investigation of Swift Datacenter Network problems (at Level 2) identified by the Daily -Operations Level 1 and the execution of the necessary corrective actions to address the issues according to availability targets
• Manage the Swift Datacenter Network Carrier infrastructure maintenance for all SWIFT locations and escalate critical issues according to procedures
• Interact and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
• Manage issues always focusing on continuous improvement: you will automate, educate and share knowledge transparently Perform Swift Datacenter Network's Network devices installations and provide end user/application connectivity
• Have an opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true DevOps agile environment
• This position is mission critical and offers flexible work (minimum 2 days onsite and maximum 3 days from home - per week) Willing to perform weekend deployment activities and on-call on a rotational basis with peer team members (Estimated: One Saturday out of 4 weekends).
What will make you successful:
We are seeking professionals with:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of solid work experience, 5+ years of Cisco ACI, Tetration, NDO & NDI (or Orchestrator), APIC
• Strong expertise in Cisco ACI architecture, APIC operations, and policy-based networking and Nexus 9000 Series
• Experience designing and implementing ACI logical objects, L3Out, contracts, and service graphs.
• Familiarity with Firewall technologies, like Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint
• Expertise on CISCO IOS-XE, ACI-OS as well NX-OS
• Strong knowledge of network Routing Protocols: EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, VRF, VDC
• CCNP certifications with ACI specialty are a plus
• Experience with hybrid or cloud environments (e.g., Integration with AWS/Azure)
• Strong automation and scripting skills using Terraform, Ansible, and REST APIs and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Incident Response: Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of complex network-related incidents, including performance bottlenecks, security breaches, and misconfigurations
• Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize tools (e.g., SevOne, WireShark, OpsManager, Splunk) to monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and optimize configurations for efficiency and security
• Partner with Architecture, SOC, Security and Operational teams to integrate network systems with broader network infrastructure and applications
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures for audit and operational purposes
• Ensure Network deployments meet industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISAE, DORA). Research and Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies, recommending upgrades or new tools to enhance network security
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in English to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Perform the security integrity checks for Swift Enterprise Network Baseline compliance after major changes
Preferred Qualifications:
• Good knowledge of Network Security: MACSEC / IPSEC, RADIUS, TACACS, 802.1x, ISE
• Good knowledge of Switching technologies: Spanning Tree, vPC, OTV
• Good knowledge of WLAN: APs, WLC, Prime Infrastructure, CMX.DNAC
• Familiarity with load balancing technologies like F5
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow tools for collaboration
• Knowledge/experience operating in Linux operating system
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and Automation technologies for build and deployment
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, Zero Trust architecture, QoS
The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position in Virginia is $101,000 USD Annual MINIMUM to $150,000 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
