Role Summary

Elovate is seeking an experienced Full Stack Senior .NET Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance web applications and services that power our automated traffic enforcement platform. You will bring deep expertise in Microsoft technologies — including .NET Core, MVC, and Entity Framework — and hands-on experience building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. This role also requires practical proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, making you a force multiplier for quality and delivery speed within the engineering team.

Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using .NET 6–10, MVC, and Entity Framework.
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs, WebAPI services, and distributed microservices using .NET Core.
  • Develop interactive UI components using JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, and Blazor.
  • Implement and manage Hangfire for background tasks, recurring jobs, and workflow automation.
  • Analyze and enhance the performance of existing applications for optimal speed, reliability, and scalability.

Quality, Collaboration & Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, architects, and product owners to deliver high-quality, production-ready software.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions.
  • Contribute to sprint planning, technical estimations, and Agile delivery ceremonies.
  • Maintain thorough technical documentation for new and existing systems.

Requirements

Microsoft Full Stack

  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET 6.x to 10.x.
  • MVC architecture and Entity Framework / EF Core.
  • WebAPI and REST Services development.
  • Microservices architecture — design, communication patterns; containerization knowledge is a plus.
  • LINQ, asynchronous programming (async/await), and dependency injection.
  • SQL Server — stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Hangfire — background jobs, task scheduling, retries, and monitoring.

Frontend Skills

  • JavaScript (native), jQuery, and AngularJS.
  • HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
  • Blazor (Server and WebAssembly) — component-driven frontend development.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and cloud-based deployments.
  • Background in public safety, government technology, or ATE systems.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

AI & Technology

AI-assisted development is a core expectation for this role. Elovate's engineering team actively integrates AI tools into daily development practice to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and reduce technical debt.

  • Integrate AI-assisted development workflows using GitHub Copilot and Claude Code as part of daily development practice.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation.
  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to get more accurate and useful outputs from AI coding assistants.
  • Use AI-powered code review and analysis tools to identify performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and code quality improvements.
  • Stay current on AI developments in the .NET and full stack ecosystem, bringing relevant tools and practices to the team.
  • Apply critical engineering judgment to all AI-generated code — always reviewing, testing, and validating outputs before merging to production.
