Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales
  • Lead and manage the sales activities for Blommer's chocolate, compound, and cocoa business in assigned region (East).
  • Develop sales strategy and plan that ensures attainment of strategic goals and profitability. Evaluate market potential for further development of current customer base and attainment of new customers.
  • Conduct regular coaching with team to build skills. Evaluate performance against defined goals. Support and lead continuous improvement by ensuring that team members are provided with the necessary skills for development.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned account(s).
  • Monitor contract performance for the sales team and coach team on contract management.
  • Track sales team's pipeline of opportunities through stage gate process and ensure internal resources are allocated where necessary to deliver the pipeline.
  • Measure and report on forecast accuracy for the team and actively engage in S&OP process. Hold team accountable for communicating demand changes to demand planner for inclusion and analysis in demand plan.
  • Prepare action plans to ensure effective search and evaluation of leads, prospects, and new market opportunities. Include analysis of competition, sales budgets, and regulatory considerations.
  • Effective use of sales tools including Power BI and Salesforce.
  • Promotes and champions innovative ideas and best practices.
  • Prepare and present various presentations. Attend and participate in trade shows and industry events as needed.
  • Member of Blommer Sales Leadership Team (VP, Sales Directors)

Management
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Effectively manage sales budget to support achieving strategic sales goals for growth and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Operate within the core values of respect and care for others.

Physical Requirements:
  • General office environment with majority of time using computer.
  • Requires Travel (40%)

Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
  • Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear, when on the plant floor v. office

  • Ensures work hours and schedules, timely attendance, and notice requirements for absences or lateness are met.
  • Promote a positive attitude and a sense of curiosity in learning new roles and responsibilities.
  • Instill a culture of leadership and engagement of team to achieve performance expectations.

Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Ten (10+) years' experience in Ingredient Sales with 5+ years' experience managing people.
  • Proven leadership in fast paced environment, able to multitask, prioritize and lead team to meet delivery expectations
  • Prioritize and assess risk to the business and adapt to rapidly changing situations
  • Ability to establish and build trusting relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Expected to identify, communicate/escalate, and problem-solve as issues arise
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective in both verbal and written communications, with strong proficiency in delivering presentations and executive reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Master's degree preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.

This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance).

Salary Range: $235k-$255K
