What is the opportunity?

With AI changing how we work, Capital Markets Technology (QTS) has embarked on major transformation programs across various functional pillars including pre-trade, trade processing, risk, data intelligence and operations across asset classes globally.

In this role you will assist in transforming the software development lifecycle (SDLC) into the AI-driven development lifecycle (AIDLC). The role involves working closely with technology stakeholders.

The position is based out of the Halifax or Toronto office and involves working closely with teams across all office regions.

What will you do?
  • Become a subject matter expert in the SDLC
  • Become a thought leader in the transformation of the SDLC into the AIDLC
  • Assist in the implementation of relevant AIDLC capabilities and services.
  • Focus on Architecture as Code AIDLC capabilities - standards, patterns, validation, specs, pipeline integration.
  • Extend support for provisioning of poc, dev and test environments via AIDLC
  • Leverage AI to reduce SDLC toil, eg provisioning of poc, dev and test environments.
  • Drive adoption of the AIDLC and corresponding capabilities across the CM organization.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • 5+ years of experience developing horizontal technology solutions
  • Hands-on technology design and implementation experience with use cases involving:
    • UI technologies, eg., html5, react, angular, next.js
    • Backend services, eg java, python
    • Cloud / container platforms, eg Kubernetes
    • Dev ops pipelines / tooling eg Jenkins, Github Actions
  • General architecture principles including resilience, scalability, security, extensibility, etc.
  • Strategic and critical thinking when considering architecture and implementations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses


Nice-to-have:
  • Exposure to AI technologies - agent frameworks, RAG, etc.
  • Broad Capital Markets technology domain experience
  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
  • Experience transforming technology across siloed technology stacks
