We are seeking an experienced
Senior Databricks Data Engineer to design, build, and lead the implementation of modern data platform solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in
Databricks, PySpark, SQL, cloud platforms, and Delta Lake, along with a proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering enterprise-scale data solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership, client-facing experience, and the ability to architect and deploy end-to-end data engineering solutions that drive business value.
Your role
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance data engineering solutions using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Define and implement end-to-end data architectures, including Databricks Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
- Lead teams of data engineers and developers in the successful delivery of enterprise data modernization initiatives.
- Develop and optimize complex data pipelines using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Build and deploy Delta Lake solutions in production environments, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Implement data sharing and collaboration solutions using Delta Sharing and Databricks Marketplace.
- Design and manage data governance frameworks utilizing Unity Catalog.Extract, transform, and integrate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse data sources and platforms.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and senior clients to gather requirements, define solutions, and communicate technical recommendations.
- Leverage Databricks AI/BI, Genie, Apps, and Data Visualization capabilities to deliver business insights and self-service analytics.Develop and maintain orchestration workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for data engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to data architecture, governance, and security standards.
- Contribute to data modeling efforts, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, designing and delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions.
- Proven experience architecting and deploying end-to-end data platforms using Databricks Medallion Architecture.
- Expert-level proficiency in PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Strong experience implementing and managing Delta Lake in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with at least two cloud platforms from:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of database design, data engineering principles, and distributed data processing.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams of data engineers and developers.
- Demonstrated success managing and influencing senior client stakeholders.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $133,000 - $153,000.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
