Description- Improve and maintain the infrastructure for analytics and reporting - i.e. data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines.
- Lead the design and development of real-time data ingestion projects, collaborating with engineers to deploy API functionality in Snowflake.
- Create and manage data pipelines using Python and Airflow, automating repetitive tasks to free bandwidth for strategic initiatives.
- Establish and maintain data governance practices, including version control and separate test and production environments, to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Design and implement comprehensive roadmaps for infrastructure and analytics development to support organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal partners and organizations to design and develop reporting solutions and analytic studies that support business needs.
- Develop, validate, and execute complex queries, and create detailed reports and analyses to answer business questions; interpret results and make recommendations based on findings.
- Manage data engineering project plans and timelines, ensure project commitments to quality and on-time deliverables.
- Evaluate data needs for assigned projects, ensure data integrity and suitability, and determine data collection methods, metrics definitions, and evaluation methods.
- Turn data into actionable information through reporting solutions, present analyses and reports to internal customers and stakeholders.

- Troubleshoot technical details and issues, ensure seamless operations and data accuracy.
- Mentor junior analysts by providing guidance on best practices, resolve complex issues, and delegate challenging projects to support their professional growth.
- Develop productive relationships with vendor partners to identify opportunities to improve and optimize systems and overcome obstacles.
- Apply statistical methods to data, establish meaningful metrics, and analyze geospatial data to derive location-based business insights.
- Lead advanced analytics initiatives, incorporate external data sources and develop AI and ML use cases to enhance data-driven decision-making.
- Develop AI and ML use cases for NJHIN, exploring innovative solutions to improve healthcare analytics.
- Build and maintain data pipelines with Astro Airflow.
- Perform the foregoing using
- SQL, Microsoft T-SQL, PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL and Snowflake
- Agile developments methods (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Atlassian JIRA)
- HL7 messages
- Scripting
- Power BI, Tableau, or a similar BI technology
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Financial Actuarial Mathematics or Related Field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in the Related Occupation.

Salary Information: In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency law, the annual salary range for this position is $77,272.00 to $105,000.00 (USD). NJII considers factors like, but not limited to, job scope, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions when making offers. This pay range covers base pay only and excludes bonuses or other incentives.
