Full Job Description

The Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) is a unique engineering division partnering across the full space enterprise to advance next-generation digital solutions and software-enabled mission capabilities. With customers spanning the DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), civil and commercial space, ISCD blends expertise in software architecture, AI/ML systems, data fabric/architecture, advanced cloud and edge platforms, cybersecurity, and full-stack engineering through mission-focused, collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams. These collaborative teams leverage hands-on prototyping and applied R&D to support customer concepts, software architecture and development, and integration of the latest digital technology solutions. By bringing multi-disciplinary technical insight to critical space missions, ISCD is positioned at the forefront of innovative software and technology for excited new ways to make real-world impact.

Aerospace’s Cyberspace Systems & Security Subdivision (CS3) is seeking a Senior Cyber Strategist to shape the future of cybersecurity for space systems.  This role combines strategic planning, product line development, technical leadership, and stakeholder engagement to drive cybersecurity innovation across Aerospace and the broader space enterprise.  You will work closely with key stakeholders including government agencies, program offices, prime contractors, commercial vendors, and internal teams to develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, identify emerging opportunities, and translate strategic vision into actionable technical solutions and organizational capabilities.

This is a fulltime position 4-5 days/week onsite in El Segundo, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and develop new product lines at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, translating emerging technology trends into actionable capabilities
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with government customers, DoD and IC program offices, industry partners, and research institutions.
  • Track and pursue new opportunities based on governmental policy changes and evolution of technology, with particular focus on Cyber + AI convergence.
  • Lead business development activities that align technical capabilities with customer mission needs.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and strategic vision to diverse audiences including government program offices and executive leadership.
  • Drive next actions for CS3 internal product lines, as well as other community engagement activities to advance cyber security across the space enterprise.
  • Partner with national laboratories, research institutions, and industry partners to transition emerging security technologies and research outcomes into operational capabilities.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Senior Project Leader - Cyber Security Architecture and Information Systems Security

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, National Security, or Information Security/Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical subject area.
  • 12 plus years of relevant experience in a position related to cyber security
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, roadmaps, and organizational strategies that align technical capabilities with mission objectives
  • Strong customer engagement and business development skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including government program offices and executive leadership
  • Ability to identify market gaps and technology trends, building strategies to position capabilities ahead of emerging mission needs.
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives and developing new product lines in cybersecurity, AI, or related technology domains.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer site approx. 20% of the time if required
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
