Description:

Senior Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) - Social Work

The Senior Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (Sr. CASAC) is a key member of the interdisciplinary treatment team at Gracie Square Hospital. In this role, you will provide individual and group counseling services to patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, including tobacco dependence identified through TAPS screening. Working closely with clinical staff, you will support treatment planning, patient engagement, recovery education, and coordination of ongoing care to help patients achieve their treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling for patients with substance use disorders.
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
  • Educate patients and families on substance use, recovery, and community resources.
  • Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation.
  • Provide scheduling, guidance, and support to per diem CASAC staff.
  • Ensure patients receive substance use treatment services as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Monitor documentation compliance and support staff training and development.


This is a full-time, day-shift position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Salary Range:

$38.85-$45.55/Hourly
