Role Overview

As aSenior Controls Engineer,you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry. This role will enable you to lead a team and work with customers while integrating some of the most state-of-the-art robotics and technology available. The innovative solutions we work on offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities. This is an in-person role at our Greenville and Liberty location.

How You27ll Make an Impact:

  • Supervise controls engineers and related staff, providing technical guidance and leadership.

  • Coach and support engineers in identifying technical skill gaps and career development opportunities.

  • Partner with department leadership to advance the engineering organization through training, leadership development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, including staffing plans, workload distribution, and adherence to project schedules.

  • Design and develop control systems and equipment to meet customer and project requirements.

  • Lead cross-functional technical teams throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Support the successful execution of assigned programs with accountability for cost, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

What You27ll Bring:

  • Bachelor27s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience; OR an Associate27s Degree with two (2) or more years of related experience.

  • 10+ years of related professional experience

  • Approximately two (2) years of experience leading technical projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers, supporting their professional growth and career progression.

  • Extensive experience with automation products, services, and the automation industry.

  • Proven ability to identify systemic issues and drive improvements in departmental efficiency.

  • Serve as a technical expert and leader within the department.

  • Current or prior experience with JR Automation or within the automation industry strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites and other JR locations.
