About the opportunity

SWCA Environmental Consultants’ Legal team is actively seeking to fill aSenior Contracts Analyst position. This position is responsible for reviewing client contract terms and conditions related to professional services and other legal documents in a high-paced environment while ensuring strict compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

This position is a great opportunity for a legal professional to join a leading environmental consulting firm dedicated to delivering sound science and creative solutions to our clients. The role is a permanent, full-time, salaried position that offers a hybrid work environment

What you will accomplish

Contract Analystreviews, drafts, and manages client agreements to protect SWCAs interests, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, mitigating risks, and optimizing contractual terms in the companys best interests, working with internal operational clients and coordinating with contracts and legal department personnel.Key duties include analyzing clauses, liaising with internal stakeholders, and maintaining databases, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Experience and qualifications for success
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; law degree or relevant certifications (like CPCM) preferred.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in contract compliance, legal support, or contract administration1dially in a professional services environment.
  • Experience with contract terms and conditions analysis and ability to redline / redraft language to mitigate risk to the Company.
  • Efficiently review complex client contracts in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex contract terms clearly and succinctly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex documents and resolve issues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and project management abilities.
  • Experience supporting legal or risk teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel); experience with ticketing systems or contract management software is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

An employee in this Phoenix, AZ-based position can expect an annual salary of: $73,444.80 - $94,588.00. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
