About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Compensation Analyst to assist our compensation team in developing, implementing, and administering a comprehensive range of compensation programs. You will report to the Manager, Compensation, and work on site three days per week in our Midtown Manhattan office.

You will manage salary, bonus, and sales incentive plans, conduct job analysis, participate in compensation surveys, and provide recommendations on pay for both new hires and current employees.

As a subject matter expert, you must have an understanding of the evolving job market and the fluidity of job roles. Additionally, you will play an important role in year-end processes and will have direct interaction with senior-level executives. Strong data analytics and data integrity skills are necessary for success in this position.

You Will
  • Review and provide thoughtful and holistic recommendations in pay across assigned client groups for new hires, promotions, and pay adjustments, using best practices in pay and compensation.
  • Handle ongoing job analysis, job evaluation, and market pricing of global positions.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to analyze compensation, HR, and business data; develop reports, dashboards, and predictive analyses to support compensation strategy and workforce planning.
  • Lead compensation programs/projects such as the annual merit, adjustment, and promotion increase processes, annual pay equity review, etc.
  • Conduct equity analysis of roles in response to changing organizational needs, market values, and geographic differentials.
  • Ensure all roles follow our job architecture and we're maintaining the integrity of the structure within the Workday system.
  • Analyze Dow Jones global pay practices and provide summaries on pay including trends on business spend, allocations of higher merit increases, and metrics on our pay trends globally.
  • Promote our rewards and recognition strategy.
  • Manage the accruals, eligibility, meaningful target amounts, metrics, and payout timing for the Annual Incentive Plan and Long-term Incentive Plans.
  • Manage survey requirements.
  • Maintain data integrity within the HRIS tool (Workday) on an ongoing basis.


You Have
  • Willingness to work on site 3 days every week in our Midtown Manhattan office
  • Minimum 5 years in analytic positions including at least 2 years in corporate compensation roles
  • Knowledge of annual salary and bonus processes including corporate bonus structures and sales incentive compensation plans
  • Experience evaluating markets and trends affecting compensation
  • Understanding of employment laws, regulations, FLSA, and executive orders enforced by the OFCCP, EEOC, and other agencies
  • Experience performing complex functions and utilizing formulas within reporting/analytical tools such as Google Sheets or Excel
  • The ability to tell a story using data
  • Experience working with large datasets in a fast-paced and fluid environment
  • Experience with the full employee lifecycle (recruiting - termination) from a compensation standpoint
  • Comprehension of the facets of Human Resources including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Business Partners, Training, and Organizational Development, as well as an understanding of how these teams operate cohesively
  • Experience formulating, understanding, and solving complex, non-routine problems
  • Experience taking ownership of your work and solving problems independently
  • Working knowledge of US and international compensation (preferred, but not required)
