GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, secure, and modernize AWS cloud environments supporting mission-critical federal systems. In this role, you will lead cloud security architecture initiatives, support compliance and continuous monitoring efforts, and help drive scalable, resilient, and secure cloud operations.
This position is ideal for senior cloud professionals with deep AWS security expertise and experience operating in highly regulated or federal environments.
What You Will Do in This Role- Design and implement secure AWS cloud architectures and networking solutions
- Support cloud modernization and enterprise cloud security initiatives
- Implement and optimize continuous monitoring and security visibility solutions
- Review and analyze alerts and reports from SIEM and AWS security tools
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to strengthen cloud security posture
- Support encryption, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud governance activities
- Evaluate risks and recommend mitigation strategies across cloud environments
- Help drive cloud compliance and operational security best practices
What You Will BringRequired Qualifications- 10+ years of experience designing cloud or cloud security solutions in federal environments
- Strong AWS architecture and networking experience
- Experience with AWS security tools such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Inspector
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk
- Deep understanding of encryption, IAM, and cloud security best practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications- DOJ or BOP experience
- Experience supporting compliance automation initiatives
- Experience with AI-enabled compliance or monitoring solutions
