Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and detail-oriented Senior Business Operations Manager (Financial Operations) to oversee organizational budget strategy, financial operations, and process optimization. This role is responsible for end-to-end budget management, financial modeling, procurement control, and automated reporting. Operating as a bridge between Finance, Operations, and departmental leads, you will leverage advanced modeling tools and procurement systems to provide actionable financial insights, drive operational efficiency, and safeguard data integrity.

Responsibilities

Strategic Budget Management & Financial Operations
  • Oversee, prepare, and analyze comprehensive organizational budgets, financial statements, and multi-year forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Implement and enforce budget control measures to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance across departments, conducting variance analysis to identify risks, trends, and reallocations for senior leadership.
  • Manage procurement workflows, budget tracking, and vendor spend utilizing Coupa software.

Financial Modeling & Process Automation
  • Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models and interactive dashboards using advanced data tools (Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA).
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline budgeting workflows, automating manual reporting tasks to increase accuracy and speed.
  • Standardize data validation, quality control measures, and clear documentation for all financial processes.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Strategic Advice

  • Collaborate closely with department heads and senior executives to gather inputs, align financial targets with strategic business goals, and present executive-level summaries.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations regarding financial adjustments, headcount planning, and operational investments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing financial guidance and training to non-financial business partners.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master's/MBA or CPA a plus).

Experience: 8-10+ years of progressive experience in business operations, financial analysis, budgeting, or financial operations.

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel & Data Modeling: Expert proficiency in dynamic formulas, pivot tables, charts, data validation, macros, and VBA.
  • Cloud Collaboration: Hands-on proficiency with Google Sheets for real-time tracking and reporting.
  • Procurement & Financial Systems: Direct experience using Coupa for procurement and budget oversight; experience with enterprise ERP systems is highly desirable.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
Mountain View $134,500 - $182,000
