We're looking for a strong Senior Backend Engineer to help tackle complex, high-impact technical challenges using cutting-edge technologies, including Generative AI. In this role you'll oversee an entire functional area, be the engineering glue in partnering up with other teams, and have the opportunity to be a key leader on the team.

What you'll do and learn:
  • Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and testable code.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or other related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in working in Java, Kotlin (or open to picking it up), GraphQL, Spring/Springboot, REST APIs, messaging systems and/or other backend programming languages.
  • Building data-driven applications (RDBMS, NoSQL, ElasticSearch)
  • Delivers results in fast-paced environments (agile, TDD, CI/CD)
  • Ability to shine in a FE capacity in addition to BE is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with shift left approach is a plus


Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$142,400 - C$190,100

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
