As a Senior ASIC Program Manager, you will drive end-to-end delivery of cutting-edge ASICs, connecting silicon engineering, systems, firmware, and operations. You'll bring clarity to complexity, influence without authority, and ensure execution stays on track across a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
Role OverviewYou will own the planning, execution, and delivery of complex ASIC/SoC and Hardware New Product Introduction (NPI) programs-from early concept through production and end-of-life.
This role sits at the intersection of silicon, hardware, and software, ensuring alignment on schedule, cost, quality, and technical performance. You will lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites and partner closely with executive leadership to drive program success.
Program Execution & Delivery- Lead the full ASIC/SoC and hardware NPI lifecycle, including:
architecture, RTL, design verification, physical design, tape-out, silicon bring-up, validation, and production release - Own program scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality; define milestones and drive accountability
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, including dependencies and critical path analysis
- Drive silicon bring-up readiness, including hardware/software alignment, lab infrastructure, and validation strategy
Cross-Functional Leadership- Drive execution across engineering disciplines: RTL, DV, physical design, DFT, CAD, test, packaging, product engineering, systems, and firmware
- Lead alignment across teams without direct authority; resolve conflicts and escalate when needed
- Partner with product management and systems engineering to align features, performance targets (PPA), and delivery timelines
- Mentor or coordinate with program managers and project leads as program complexity scales
Reporting, Governance & Process- Track program health through metrics and dashboards; proactively manage risks and trade-offs
- Deliver clear, structured updates to executives and stakeholders across global teams
- Drive continuous improvement of program management processes
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, including ISO 9000
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
- 8+ years of program management experience, including 3-5+ years in ASIC program leadership
- Strong understanding of ASIC/SoC and hardware NPI development flows
- Proven ownership of end-to-end ASIC programs, including at least two full tape-out cycles
- Track record of delivering multiple complex ASIC/SoC programs through bring-up and production
- Experience managing large-scale programs (50+ engineers, multi-site teams, multi-million dollar budgets)
- Experience leading large, cross-functional engineering teams across multiple locations
- Expertise in program planning, scheduling, risk management, and dependency tracking
- Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications- Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, characterization, or ATE/bench validation
- Experience managing foundry or vendor relationships (NRE, mask costs, qualification)
- Familiarity with program management tools such as Smartsheet or equivalent
- Experience with leading-edge process nodes (7nm or below) is a plus
- PMP, CSM, or similar certification
