Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Treasury, the Senior Analyst, Treasury will be key in supporting the execution and management of the airline's financing strategy. You will be responsible for modeling debt structures, managing the lifecycle of aircraft leases, and ensuring compliance with financial covenants. This role requires a blend of quantitative modeling, legal document interpretation, and relationship management with banks and lessors. Duties & Responsibilities

Debt
  • Assist with forecasting the corporate debt portfolio to optimize structure and overall financing costs
  • Model and analysis of capital funding scenarios to optimize cost of funding, corporate liquidity, credit rating and qualitative considerations.
  • Monitor and maintain debt schedules (debt and aircraft/engine financings)
  • Support the negotiation of new financing agreements
  • Monitor financial ratios

Aircraft Leasing Portfolio
  • Lease vs. Buy Analysis: Perform Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) analyses to determine the most cost-effective way to acquire new aircraft
  • Track lease expirations, extension options, and purchase triggers for the entire fleet
  • Maintain and track Pre-Delivery Payment schedule
  • Support the day-to-day relationship with aircraft leasing companies
  • Coordinate with the Fleet Planning and Maintenance teams to manage "End of Lease" return conditions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Other
  • Lender Compliance & Reporting: Manage compliance with lenders/lessors ensuring covenants and various documentation are submitted timely
  • Support other Treasury team members as well as other finance functions, including financial planning, financial reporting and internal audit
  • Execute foreign exchange hedges
  • Work on special projects as required
  • Stay abreast of trends in the aviation finance market
  • Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply with and promote the Company Safety Policy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • CPA, CTP, or CFA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate treasury or finance experience
  • Previous experience in financing preferred
  • Prior experience in aviation is advantageous
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong modelling skills and experience in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with treasury systems and banking portals
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
