Full Job Description
What you'll be doing

You'll join the Digital Platforms & Operations team, where we help deliver high-quality digital experiences that are accurate, reliable, and client-focused. As a Senior Analyst, Analytics QA, you'll oversee day-to-day analytics quality assurance activities across complex, tactical projects, ensuring data quality control procedures and project performance standards are consistently met. With minimal direction, you'll apply your expertise to lead analytics QA execution, including functional testing, release testing, automation testing, and production support. You'll review requirements, define testing objectives, document results and defects, and help drive resolution in partnership with technology and business teams. You'll also build strong relationships with Squad and Product Owners, provide clear status updates, and help manage expectations related to scope, risks, and timelines.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Requirements analysis - Partner with Squad and Product Owners to gather complex business requirements, support solution design discussions, and ensure analytics QA activities align to project needs. Apply your knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) to support implementation and testing requirements.
  • Quality assurance delivery - Create, validate, and execute test cases across web and mobile applications, including Android and iOS, to identify gaps, errors, and data quality issues. Perform functional, release, and automation testing to support high-quality digital experiences.
  • Defect management - Manage and prioritize defect backlogs, document findings clearly, and work with stakeholders to support timely resolution and closure. Use tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Jira to track issues and testing outcomes.
  • Automation and monitoring - Use ObservePoint to build and monitor customer journeys across online and mobile banking channels to validate analytics requirements in production. Review scan results to help ensure the accuracy and compliance of client data across digital platforms.
  • Production support and reporting - Investigate issues raised by business partners, support resolution efforts with developers when needed, and provide timely updates on progress, risks, and timelines. Contribute to monthly financial tracking activities, including estimates, actuals, and burn-down reporting across digital and partner initiatives.
  • Collaboration and partnership - Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners, support informed decision-making, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Share your knowledge, provide guidance to others, and help the team work toward common goals and milestones.

Who you are

  • You have relevant experience. You bring 3+ years of experience in web and mobile quality assurance, ideally within financial services and with exposure to analytics tools. You've worked on cross-portfolio initiatives in a matrix environment and understand both Agile and waterfall delivery approaches, as well as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • You're skilled in QA and testing tools. You have hands-on experience with tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), mobile testing platforms such as Griffon or equivalent tools, and automation testing tools such as ObservePoint. You're confident documenting results, tracking issues, and supporting end-to-end QA activities.
  • You understand analytics implementation. You have knowledge of digital tagging and analytics ecosystems, including Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Adobe Experience Platform, and Adobe Journey Optimizer. Familiarity with JavaScript fundamentals and behavioural analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics would be an asset.
  • You're detail-focused and thoughtful in your approach. You know that data quality matters and that strong testing practices help protect the client experience. You use critical thinking and sound judgment to identify issues, assess impact, and support effective decisions.
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate well. You're comfortable working closely with your Squad, Chapter Lead, and business partners, and you know how to adapt your communication style to your audience. You build strong working relationships and contribute positively in a team-based, Agile environment.
  • You're curious and committed to growth. You're eager to learn, adaptable to change, and motivated to build new skills over time. You also bring a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
